ਇਹ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਮਾਰਚ 2023 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ – ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਰਗੇਨਾਈਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। CCTV ’ਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਰ ਸਭ ਨਕਲੀ ਸੀ! ਮੁੱਖ ਆਰਗੇਨਾਈਜ਼ਰ ਰਾਮਭਾਈ ਪਟੇਲ ਨੂੰ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ 11 ਲੋਕ (ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਪਟੇਲ) ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਣ ’ਤੇ 5 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਰੋਤ: ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਆਫ ਜਸਟਿਸ (13 ਮਾਰਚ 2026) , They allegedly staged fake armed robberies at convenience stores in Massachusetts (starting March 2023) so store clerks could falsely claim to be victims of violent crime and apply for U Visas (immigration benefits).
The scheme involved paying organizers thousands to set up the “robberies” – caught on CCTV but all staged! Main organizer Rambhai Patel was previously convicted in 2025.
These 11 (mostly Patels) face up to 5 years in prison if convicted.
