OFF-GRID WORK
There is little we can do in the bush about posting. But we can do plenty about downloading and editing.
Thanks to flexopower_sa, we can run our laptops, charge our drones and our professional cameras. If my car is equipped with 12v, I still prefer to use the Flexopower Lithium 555 to charge all my 220v equipment. I don’t like charging my batteries with an inverter while I’m driving as I had bad experiences (Batteries being shaken a little in the cab).
Nicolas uses also the Lithium 555 in his tent.
It also serves as a backup unit. We all had some issues with our system before. In April, I could not even charge my iPhone for two days because of my issue with my swollen AGM batteries.
To charge the Flexopower Lithium 555 and even my 2 auxiliary 105Ah Lithium batteries in my car when I don’t drive much, I use a Flexopower Namib 240 solar blanket. I prefer this method over my semi-flexible panel on my rooftop tent for two reasons. The panels on the RTT get continuously dirty but worse, you need to park in the sun and face it.
With a 10m cable, I can park the car in the shade, place the Namib 240 in the sun and even follow it for best performances. With the car, that would mean repositioning the car every couple of hours.
