- He opened his first restaurant when he was 16 in an abandoned newspaper factory in his hometown of Hong Kong.
- Despite spending his time at Yale studying Cognitive Science and English, he spent his weekends running a restaurant out of his dorm room, known as Y Pop-up.
- He then went on to cook at Michelin-starred kitchens in Hong Kong and New York before opening his current venture Junzi Kitchen, which is a fast-casual restaurant chain with the mission of updating the American understanding of Chinese cuisine.
- They now have four locations in New York and New Haven and have raised over $5 million dollars from investors including the cofounder of PF Changs and America's “Queen of Chinese food”
