What a surreal, beautiful and highly emotional moment. Also a full circle ⭕️ moment as I held the book in store on Mother’s Day - when in fact, it was my own Mother who caused my Imposter Syndrome. If you had told me 12 years ago when I was at the height of my corporate career, yet experiencing major bouts of Imposter Syndrome that one day I’d write a book on it, I never would have believed you. 12 years ago I had to unpack the stories I told myself driven by my Mother. And unpack them and redirect them I did. Yesterday the universe sent me a message. ✨ I stood there on Mother’s Day no longer heartbroken by the pain she has caused me in so many ways- but so proud of myself for who and what I have become in-spite of it. I wasn’t blessed with a loving Mother BUT I was blessed with so many other incredible people who have supported me & this journey. You know who you are. I didn’t do this alone and I am grateful every single day. So here I am, soaking up this very special moment before I boarded my flight to Boston. And I want you all to know- There will always be someone/ people who don’t see your worth - BUT please don’t let it be you 🙏🏾 Because you belong in any room, stage, space you find yourself in. It’s not luck. It’s not chance. You’ve earned it - so please, please take a moment to soak it all up and enjoy it!
