## Caption

...to give you a sense of scale, here is the clay maquette I handmade for Thalia (using photos of Mom as a young woman and the version of Thalia in the Vatican Museums). The cast version is 25 percent larger which doesn't sound like a lot but is notable in person! photo by robertvcadena in my New York Studio on 8th Street, which opens to "Sculptors Alley" as it  what was called a hundred years ago - my studio is in the same building where Daniel Chester French sculpted the Maquette for the Lincoln memorial in Washington DC
