## Caption

Alex S after Aristide Maillol's "La Mediteranee" (1906). Clay, to be fired, finish TBD. About 10 inch high.

I've been asking models to take poses from Greek and Roman statues as well Rodin and Maillol. I'm taking advantage of these sculptors' genius in designing poses that are dynamic and interesting. In all cases, I sculpt the model - only the pose is similar.
