Faster than a speeding bullet!

🦴 All jokes aside, one of the most important things to do when you have an urgent fracture case (e.g. an open comminuted fracture) come in that may need a special implant (one that doesn't live at your hospital or surgery center) is to call the medical device rep.  In some cases, they have to bring a special instrument tray along with the implant that needs to be sterilized prior to the start of the procedure.  So there are some instances where they do have to get to the hospital as quickly as possible so that the surgery can proceed in a timely fashion.
