Modern cruise ships are floating cities built for long journeys at sea.

The largest cruise ships in the world can carry over 6,000 passengers and crew combined, with multiple restaurants, theatres, parks, and even water slides onboard. Despite their size, they’re designed with advanced stabilisation systems to reduce motion and improve comfort. Cruise ships generate much of their own power, treat freshwater from seawater, and can sail for weeks without needing to dock. Some are longer than famous skyscrapers are tall, making them among the biggest moving structures ever built.

Where are you going on your cruise this year?
