TOWEL TAPOTEMENT ⤵️

The naysayers will laugh at this but when you know you know! 

❌This is NOT a simple massage technique. It takes quite a lot of upper arm strength and dedication! It’s laborious and your arms will fatigue! It’s definitely not for cry babies 😂

Tapotement helps to increase blood flow to the treated area and soften the underlying tissue. Due to the fast paced rhythm, the vibration increases circulation and nerve endings become stimulated which allow muscle contractions to occur overall leading to an increase in muscle tone and also results in reducing fatty deposits in muscle areas.

As an aesthetician, yoga and massage therapist, it makes alot of sense physiologically that you can see a rapid response. This affects blood flow, fascia, and thus the underlying musculature.

TIPS: 

* ✅ Cleanse and warm up your skin with a warm towel.
* ✅Massage and leave moisturizer or oil on, if too dry the skin can become sensitive and irritated. 
* ✅Work up to 2-3 minutes. Start with 40 sec - 1 min on each side 
* ✅Use a soft wet warm towel. I use a gentle facial towel heated up from my hot cabinet. 
* ✅You can also soak the towel in sea salt (warms the skin) once you work up to a more advanced technique and time. 
* ❌🌶️The salts can irritate the skin at first. 
* ❌ACNE, ROSACEA or SENSITIVE WIMPS
