The first crushing of Jesus wasn’t the cross, it was in the garden (pictured above).

Gethsemane means “Olive Press.”

In scripture, Gardens have always been a place of decision. A place where obedience was tested.

The first Adam failed the test. The second Adam, Jesus, passed. He exchanged “His will” for the will of the Father.

In that place of pressing, crushing, decision, and surrender, God’s eternal plan was sealed and the road to resurrection was secured.

No crushing, no oil.

Without suffering, the seed inside of us can’t be pressed out. The oil designed to flow from our lives can’t be released.

Like us, Jesus yet learned obedience by the things which He suffered - Hebrews 5:8

Oil is not about money.
Oil is not about money.

Oil is what flows when our will is crushed to obedience and flows from surrender - dwelling in the garden and cultivating the unseen.

No crushing.
No pressing.
No oil.

Jesus was pressed in His soul and His will and chose obedience to God.

That crushing changed everything.
Your crushing is designed to do the same.

The process of making oil testifies Jesus and our lives if we let it. Pressure only reveals what was already inside.

Great power always flows from humble beginnings.

For many, 2025 was a place of transition, being pressed, crushed, refined, and maybe even unseen.

Yet, you’ve gained a fresh oil that flows from your life. May your time in the Olive Press testify to His glory and His power. You’ll be eternally grateful, as I am and was in seasons past in the garden.
