3 years ago, I got rejected from med school.
I was too embarrassed to tell people I failed , especially being surrounded by those with perfect grades. I was scared to share my vulnerability,  afraid of letting people down. What if I’m not as smart as they thought? 

But getting rejected changed my life. It gave me time — time to volunteer, join societies, talk to more people, solo travel, and most importantly… reflect. And I realised:
vulnerability is what connects us. It’s not something to hide — it’s what makes us human.

Now that I’m finally in med school, I’ll be honest: I still haven’t found the perfect study method for myself. I waste time, I doubt myself, and I’m still figuring things out. But I’m trying — and that’s what matters.

Medical students aren’t superhuman. We’re just people who chose a tough path — not because we’re the smartest, but because we care.
We want to show up for others in their most vulnerable moments… because we’ve lived through our own.
