With 33 partnering restaurants, the sold out TACO Mania 2025 was a huge success! 

Our esteemed panel of judges traveled all October sampling the very best tacos our little state has to offer and cast their ballot for their favorite. When the ballots were counted, the judges realized they had reached a dead lock. The Judges’ Choice Award is a tie!

Tonight we congratulate and celebrate MAIZ Mexican Restaurant on WINNING Judges’ Choice Award for BEST TACOS in RHODE ISLAND!

maiz.ri is a small, family owned restaurant serving both South Kingstown and Providence, Rhode Island. All of their recipes come from a long line of home cooks from Mexico. Everything from the tender chicken Tinga and soft corn tortillas, to the zesty Salsa Verde is made in house, from scratch.
