This man really handed me a cup of coffee with a whole heart on it like we’re in a rom-com or something. 

And I’m standing there, 3 business days past my usual coffee time, fighting for my LIFE.

He’s smiling. Recording.
“Isn’t that sweet?” Sir… I guess so.

But let me explain something. I come from a long line of strong, coffee-dependent independent women. 

This isn’t a habit. It’s heritage. It’s culture. It’s survival. My mama passed down two things: attitude and caffeine dependency.

I am not a good person before coffee.
I am not reasonable.
I am not approachable.
I am not sweet.
I am a hostage to the clock.

The heart on top? Beautiful. Stunning. 10/10 effort.
But respectfully… I don’t care about the art, I care about the liquid.

And the fact that he had the AUDACITY to record me in my pre-coffee state? Brave. So brave.

Yes, baby, it’s sweet.
Now please stop filming and let me drink it before I turn into someone neither of us recognizes.

Marriage is about patience.
