⚠️ Trigger Warning : Needles / Self-Injection:

Week 5 Update: The reality of reclaiming my body.

This is my first time self-administering my testosterone injection. Honestly? It’s intimidating. But it’s just one small part of a massive, overwhelming puzzle I’ve been trying to solve since my full hysterectomy at 34.

Navigating surgical menopause hasn’t just been “hard”—it has affected everything. My energy, my mood, my recovery, my sleep. I am learning in real-time that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to managing hormones.

I’ve lost count of how many blood panels I’ve had done, and the testing will continue until I feel like myself again. This space is so under-cared for, and women deserve better roadmaps.

But amidst the struggle, I am deeply thankful that I even have the opportunity to do Hormone Replacement Therapy. I work with so many clients who don’t get this choice. Once you have certain cancer diagnoses, HRT is often off the table. My heart is with them, and it reminds me that having these options—even when they are difficult to manage—is a privilege I don’t take for granted.
