Real Talk: I never thought l’d be here, but here I am.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and the surprising, often difficult, reality of it all. I’ve always had so much empathy, but I didn’t truly grasp how challenging this process is-from figuring out complex injections with my husband’s help (seriously, thank goodness for his deep-dive research because the official directions were useless!) to the emotional weight of it.

I’m now in the club I never expected to join. It’s a club that makes me feel all the symptoms of full menopause-mood swings, hot flashes, barely sleeping-even on estradiol alone. I look back at my ‘past self’ from just a month ago and wonder when I’ll get that energy to be her again.

If you’re navigating HRT, low hormones, or menopause, please know you are not alone. This is a difficult, lonely journey sometimes, and we deserve better support. I’m still figuring it out, and I’m choosing to share this vulnerability with you.
