Week One Post-Mastectomy: Comfort & Clothing Hacks!

We are on week one! 🎉 made it to the other side!

Now let’s talk about the absolute must-haves for your wardrobe right now: pockets, pockets, pockets!

You don’t have to buy a whole new mastectomy-specific wardrobe (unless you want to!). As an outdoor enthusiast, I found that I could lean on some of my favorite gear brands for drain management:

 🌸Jacket Hack: Look for lightweight jackets (especially fleeces from brands like patagonia or others) that have internal pockets. These are usually meant for gloves or small gear, but they are perfect for tucking away those drains securely and comfortably. They keep the tubes from dangling and make getting around so much easier!

 🌸Pants Hack: Stretchy pants or yoga pants with side pockets (the kind meant for a phone) are a lifesaver! They are soft on your skin and the side pockets are another great spot to hold a drain or two.

Pro-Tip: Focus on comfort, easy access (think zippers, not pullovers), and pieces you already own that can do double-duty!
