Voluntary flutter aka voluntary “nystagmus” are self-induced saccadic oscillations characterized by high frequency bursts of conjugate oscillations—most commonly in the horizontal plane. This party trick may pose diagnostic challenges in patient presenting with symptoms as a result of the movements. 
Distinguishing features are: ✔️Unsustained oscillatory movements ✔️Induction by convergence ✔️Associations with facial grimacing or eyelid flutter 
Pathologic flutter and opsoclonus are more sustained.
