Missed qualifying for today’s race by two spots.
It’s been a long time since I’ve missed the cut and had to sit out a race. With this being the second to last Olympic qualifier, this one was a punch to the gut.

That said, I’m still here today cheering on my teammates. These are the same guys who can bump me out of an Olympic spot, but that doesn’t change anything. I’d want the same support if the roles were reversed. That’s the standard.

I’ll also be studying every heat, every line, every decision, learning what I need to do for Sunday. Tomorrow, my fate is in my hands. One last race to give it absolutely everything I’ve got.

As always, thank you for all the support. I’ll do my best to earn this and make everyone proud.
Wish me luck, after tomorrow, the qualification period is over and the Olympic team will be named.
