When everything seems lost, do you fight or fold?

Here’s the final stretch of my 2nd heat from Erzurum, Turkey! I was way behind, but I didn’t panic. I trusted my game plan, knowing my speed from the third-to-last corner to the finish was dialed in.

I had studied the line with my ussnowboardteam coaches, and I knew if I stayed within striking distance, I had a shot.

This moment proves why you never give up when things aren’t going your way. I gave it everything, caught up just in time, and not only advanced, but won the heat.
