The threat of severe weather both in Chicago and elsewhere led to the cancellation of hundreds of flights on Sunday and Monday.

The FAA implemented a ground stop at O'Hare International Airport due to thunderstorms on Sunday and again Monday morning. 

The number of delays and cancellations are expected to climb entering Monday afternoon.
