## Caption

Every year my Canadian family celebrates American Thanksgiving in Mexico, and this time I packed my camera. Brown Pelicans might get ignored, but watching them glide, spot a target, and dive like feathered torpedoes is elite entertainment.

Fun fact: Brown Pelicans have built in air sacs under their skin that cushion the impact when they dive, which is how they pull off those dramatic plunge dives all day long.
