Have you heard this unreleased Kanye West verse on Pharrell Williams’ Frontin? 👀

The song dropped in 2003 as Pharrell’s debut solo single featuring Jay-Z, but it almost looked very different. Early on, Kanye West had recorded a verse for the track while he was still primarily known as a producer. That version never officially came out, and Jay-Z ultimately ended up on the final release.

Years later, Kanye finally performed that unreleased verse on stage with Pharrell, giving fans a rare glimpse at the alternate version that could’ve existed. It’s one of those small pieces of hip-hop lore that shows how close Kanye was to breaking through as a rapper right before The College Dropout changed everything…
