narrowed down the top 5 things i wish i knew when i first began my breastfeeding journey 8 years ago (because how can something so natural feel so complicated sometimes?!) #FridaPartner

from pumps to feeding schedules, to latching and supplies, there’s so much info and so many products out there! no matter the stage, Fridamom is the BEST brand for Mom’s during pregnancy, L&D, postpartum and breast care. i love keeping their Breastfeeding Survival kit on hand to help tackle every boob battle.

more breastfeeding tips below (feel free to add yours in the comments!)👇🏽
+ your baby’s stomach is the size of a marble the first 1-3 days. milk can take up to a week to fully “come in”- colostrum and transitional milk are still milk and are enough!
+ it’s NORMAL to pump .5-1oz. this does NOT mean that is what your baby is consuming. babies are much more efficient at getting milk out than a pump.
+ baby constantly wanting to nurse does not mean they are starving or you have a low supply. they’re just doing their job in stimulating your milk production.
+ you do not *NEED* to pump (for some reason many people think it’s a must)
+ don’t be discouraged if baby doesn’t latch right away. establishing a solid breastfeeding relationship can take time and effort
