Richard Roundtree performing SHAFT on The Dean Martin Show circa 1972. That’s me over his shoulder!!!! “Shut yo mouth”. I  had just landed a series regular job as one of Dean’s singer/dancers… I was 19!  We had great guest stars like Sinatra and Gene Kelly that blew my mind and made me wonder “are you really here in Hollywood?”but this was JOHN SHAFT‼️ This was Richard Roundtree‼️ My heart nearly stopped! 
That was the beginning of a 50 year friendship. 
That same heart that you made skip a beat those many years ago is now broken my friend . You will be missed💔💔💔
