Stunning Photography of the Fountain of Neptune located in Bologna. 👏🏼❤️ This detail of the “Lactating Mermaid on a Dolphin” (1563) documents a specific period where the magnitude of public bronze work was used to personify fertility and the abundance of nature.

By engineering water as a structural element of the narrative, the sculpture establishes a dynamic scale that transforms the urban fabric of Bologna into a theater of health and prosperity. 🇮🇹 It remains a masterclass in how anatomical precision can be utilized to convey complex social and mythological identities.
