Morning everyone! A big hello and welcome to all my new followers from Your Home Made Perfect. 

Those of you who are new here may not realize that the zig zags on my bathroom wall are not wallpaper, but were actually hand painted by me shortly before lockdown! 

I’d dreamed of a zig zag bathroom wall for years and years, way before I moved in to this flat. But as seems to be my usual way, I ended up painting it in a last minute rush, because the lovely jamesbalston was coming to photograph the flat for the Observer magazine and I thought if ever there was a moment to do it this was it! 

This is only a 9 second ‘how to’ reel (recorded before I had grasped the concept of filming myself doing anything!), but it actually took 4 days of working almost through the night and I finished it at 4am on the morning of the shoot. 

I have to say, it was hellish, involved complicated maths and geometry at 2am and I never want to do it again - lol. So eventually I did indeed make it in to a wallpaper that I could take with me if I ever moved! 

So would any of you brave painting one? Or would you just head straight for the wallpaper?
