Did you know this retro diner is a restored 1959 landmark? 🍽️ Before it was MelsDriveIn, it was the Penguin Coffee Shop! ☕ It’s a classic example of Googie architecture brought back to life. 📐 In 2018, it was restored as Mel’s Drive-In with classic neon, chrome, and old-school booths. 🍔 It’s located just minutes from the western end of Route 66 and is the perfect way to wrap up a road trip along the Mother Road! 🚙
