Contemplative 🐻‍❄️ 

It’s funny how life comes full circle in the strangest of ways. The first time I became hooked on photographing wildlife was during an expedition to Svalbard with benjaminhardman . One of my favorite images (slide two) was of a polar bear sitting and looking out over his home, seemingly in deep contemplation.

Fast forward two years and on the other side of the planet in Churchill with brookelittlebear and arthurlefo I came across a very similar scene. This time it was a female bear with its back turned to me observing its home. 

One in fall, one in winter. One in Canada, one in Svalbard. One Female, one Male. Two bears on the edge of our world looking across the expanse at what is ahead of them.
