🍀 We’re feeling extra lucky this St. Patrick’s Day!

The Detroit Zoo is excited to welcome Darya (Dar-EE-yuh), a 2-year-old Amur tiger, to the Devereaux Tiger Forest habitat! 🐅

Born Nov. 13, 2023 at the Saint Louis Zoo, Darya arrived in Detroit through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan, a program that helps ensure healthy, genetically diverse animal populations in human care. She now shares her home with fellow Amur tigers Nikolai and Ameliya.

Animal care staff describe Darya as playful, energetic and curious — often among the first to explore new spaces or splash in the water.
