Mackinac Island is truly Michigan’s crown jewel and the summer capital of the world. 

How’s how to spend a full summer day on the isle:

• Take the Star Line Ferry to the island
• Rent a bike (there are so many bike rental options downtown)
• Grab coffee and breakfast at Watercolor Cafe
• Bike Lake Shore Boulevard to Arch Rock (you’ll have to ditch your bike and climb the 207 steps to the top)
• Continue biking the 8.2 miles around the island
• Explore the Grand Hotel and its grounds
• Visit Fort Mackinac
• Grab a late-lunch or early-dinner at Pink Pony
• Shop downtown and don’t forget the fudge!
• Take the Star Line Ferry back
