The perfect weekend itinerary when visiting Detroit, Michigan 🌆 

Day 1: Saturday

Eastern Market - This enormous and historic market hosts its Saturday Market year-round from 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. You’ll find fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and flowers. 💐 

Eastern Market Murals - While in the area, explore the street art and snap some photos. 📸 

Walk the Detroit International RiverWalk - This award winning RiverWalk is more than 3 miles long. It offers breathtaking views of Detroit and Canada. Be sure to stop and visit the monument to Joe Louis on Jefferson Avenue. 👟 

Belle Isle - This park features a conservatory, an aquarium, athletic fields, and incredible views of the Windsor and Detroit skyline. Entry is free on foot or by bike. 🏙 

Visit The Belt - The Belt is an alley in the heart of downtown Detroit. It features restaurants, bars, and street art. Grab dinner here and end the night at Deluxx Fluxx. 🍺 

Corktown - If you’d like to venture to the oldest neighborhood in Detroit, Uber over to Corktown. Grab dinner here and spend the night out at an industrial-chic bar. 🍸 

Day 2: Sunday

Astoria Pastry Shop - Start your day in Greektown by visiting the delicious Astoria Pastry Shop. This is my favorite bakery in the area! 🥐 

Detroit Institute of Arts (pictured) - Get lost in the art and spend a couple of hours at the DIA exploring its 100 galleries. 🖼 

Detroit Public Library - Pop into the library to view its stunning architecture & snap some photos. 📚 

Coney Island - You can’t leave without a coney dog from either American Coney Island or Lafayette Coney Island. Or try both and stake your claim in which is better. 🌭 

Campus Martius Park - There’s always something to do at Campus Martius Park. In the winter there’s ice skating. In the summer there’s roller skating and the urban beach. Here you can enjoy a cocktail, build sandcastles, and listen to live music. 🏖
