Lost my mind because of the beauty in White Sands National Park. 🥾 

We hiked the Backcountry Camping Trail. Here’s all the information you need. (And don’t forget to save this post for future planning!) 

• Moderate, 2-mile round trip hike

• Backpackers hike the trail most frequently 

• Great option for visitors who want a shorter hike through the heart of the dunes

• Follow the orange, spade trail markers

• Steep dunes & loose sand

• No shade, no water, and no toilet facility

• Average completion time is 1.5 hours

• It’s about 6 miles from the visitor center
