✔️Day 1: Fresh Work
Eyebrows will be darker and bolder initially than when it heals. The width of the brows will appear slightly bigger due to slight swelling. Skin will appear to be warm/red due to skin irritation. Once the skin calms down, the color will cool down & heal into a less warm (red) color.
.
✔️Day 3-4: Crusting/Darker
Due to clotting factors in the first stage to help stop bleeding, the area will appear dark, crusty, & thicker in texture. Eyebrows will feel tight and start to itch.
.
✔️Day 7-10: Scabs Peel Off
Exfoliation begins. The skin begins to peel from the outside edges first. Excess pigment surrounding brow area will flake off and appear more narrow. Brow area will start to peel and look blotchy. It is very important to not pick or disturb the natural healing process. Picking will cause premature fading, blotchy results, and delay the healing process. YOUR ARTIST WILL KNOW IF YOU PICKED YOUR BROWS.
.
✔️Day 12-14: Peeled & Faded
Color finishes flaking off and brow area will appear softer, grayer and sometimes pink for a few days until color clarifies. This is because new skin is forming trying to heal the wounded skin and is COVERING the top layer of the skin (swipe to see example of a body tattoo). DO NOT FREAK OUT DURING THIS STAGE.
.
✔️Day 15-30: Pigment Darkens Slightly
Once skin has exfoliated and slough off, color will appear darker due to no dead skin covering the brow area. Although skin may appear to have healed on the surface layer, it takes about 4-6 weeks for the skin to heal on the inner layer and regenerate itself. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your brows to properly heal. It is completely normal for some areas to appear lighter than other areas as different parts of the brows exfoliate differently. TRUST THE PROCESS.
