🇨🇳😮 A cheap Chinese tire just shocked the car world by outperforming Michelin and Continental, but the full story is way more complicated.

In recent European tests, the Linglong Sport Master delivered top-tier wet braking performance, even stopping a few meters shorter than premium tires like Michelin’s Pilot Sport 5.

That’s a huge deal, because a couple meters in emergency braking can be the difference between a close call and a crash.

Even more surprising, it achieved this while costing roughly 40–50% less than big-name competitors, which is why the headline is blowing up.

However, those same tests revealed a major trade-off—it ranked last in wear and lifespan, with significantly shorter durability than rivals.

It also scored poorly in areas like fuel efficiency and overall balance, showing it’s not a well-rounded performance tire.

In fact, despite winning braking tests, it finished near the bottom overall because premium brands still dominate in consistency, longevity, and real-world usability.

The takeaway is that Linglong likely optimized for standout grip numbers, while Michelin and Continental still build better all-around tires.

So the real question is, would you pick a tire that stops shorter, or one that performs better everywhere else?

Will you be putting Linglongs on your car? 🛞

What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
