Third up for our Engaged Teaching and Learning program introductions…. Command Your Career! 

Command Your Career is a brand new career readiness program where you will be able walk away from LSUA with not just a degree, but also the meaningful relationships, skills, and experiences you need to succeed in the workforce. Our real hope for you is that you have your first full time job lined up the Monday after you graduate, and CYC will help you do just that! 

Throughout your college journey, you will complete tasks that will help you stay on track for being career ready by the time you graduate. You will complete these tasks to earn “stars.” Each star is intended to represent one year of your college experience and the different stages of career development:

- Explore 🔍 - Be curious. Learn more about who you are and what you want to do with your future career. 
- Develop 💪- Be courageous. Grow in your skills, learn more about how to communicate with professionals, and gain valuable leadership skills. 
- Experience 🏞️- Be confident. You’ve learned all of this knowledge in the classroom. Now it’s time to apply it to the real world. You’ve got this! 
- Arrive 🎓- Be competent. We’ll help you show future employers what you’ve learned and prep your job search materials. 

Students who complete the entire program have the opportunity to earn the “Four Star Graduate” distinction. That means you get a medal at graduation, special recognition, and the knowledge that you commanded your college experience and commanded your career!
