Throwing hard once doesn’t matter. Holding velocity every outing does.

When Francisco Castro came to VeloU remotely in January 2025, he was already mid to upper 80s. The issue wasn’t peak velocity. It was range. One day he’d sit 87 to 88. The next, he’d dip.

The focus was simple: raise the floor.

From video review, we saw he was drifting forward too early. He had coil, but he wasn’t staying in it long enough down the mound. So the first decision was to help him hold that position longer. That alone tightened the band to consistent 85 to 88, with 89s showing up more often.

Later, we noticed his arm would get stuck in the back when fatigue set in. Instead of overhauling everything, we made a small adjustment. We moved his hand position slightly forward to improve flow and rhythm, reducing stall and helping the delivery move as one unit.

All of this is happening remotely. Francisco is in Florida. He sends video consistently. He gives feedback on feel. We adjust in real time through the VeloU app. When small dips show up, we address them immediately instead of waiting weeks.

Recently in live at bats, he’s been sitting upper 80s again with multiple 89s.

Remote training works when evaluation, communication, and adjustments stay aligned.

That’s how VeloU builds consistency.

Not by chasing peaks, but by raising the floor.
