Of course BTS’s comeback outfits looked incredible, right?

The looks for this BTS stage were created by Korean designer Songzio (songzio_official).

Song Jae-woo, the designer and head of the brand, explained that the stage outfits were meant to portray “new heroes who carry the turbulent history of Korea in both body and soul while carving out a new future.” 

Since this comeback album is titled “Arirang” and is deeply rooted in Korea, the meaning behind the outfits for their first comeback stage feels especially fitting.

In an interview with WWD, Songzio also shared that he wanted to express “han,” the uniquely Korean sense of sorrow and emotion, and portray the members as heroic figures moving toward the future through chaos.

The collection was created under the concept of “Lyrical Armor,” inspired by traditional hanbok and early Joseon-era armor. Check out the slides along with the released sketches to see the meaning behind each member’s outfit.

이번 무대 의상은 한국 디자이너 송지오(songzio_official)가 맡았는데요!

브랜드 송지오의 대표이자 디자이너 송재우는 이번 의상에 대해 “격동의 역사를 가진 한국의 과거를 몸과 마음에 새기고, 새로운 미래를 개척해 나가는 영웅들의 모습”을 담았다고 설명했습니다. 

이번 컴백 앨범이 ‘아리랑’인 만큼, 한국적인 뿌리를 담은 무대와 의상의 의미가 더욱 깊게 느껴지죠.

또한 송지오는 WWD 인터뷰를 통해 한국 고유의 정서인 ‘한(恨)’을 표현하고, 혼란 속에서도 미래로 나아가는 영웅적인 존재로 멤버들을 그려냈다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 컬렉션은 ‘서정적 갑옷(Lyrical Armor)’이라는 콘셉트로, 전통 한복과 조선 초기 갑옷에서 영감을 받아 제작되었는데요!
