Let’s visit the Keystone State for our newest Army ROTC #CadetOfTheWeek 🎉 

Meet Autumn Wyatt, a senior majoring in Psychology at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. 

Growing up with parents who were NCOs, Wyatt knew the Army provided many opportunities and career paths. 

“One of the biggest reasons I chose ROTC was because it allowed me to pursue all three of my goals at once: completing my degree, competing in track and field, and setting the foundation for my career after graduation.”

Wyatt is a standout #ArmyROTC cadet and student-athlete. She graduated from Airborne School, ranked near the top of her Psychological Operations Assessment & Selection course, and currently serves as the Frontier Battalion’s commander. She competes for the women’s track and field team and is involved in both the Aspiring Leaders and Arabic Clubs on campus. 

Wyatt’s parents serve as her biggest influences in all things for leadership and the Army. 

“Their careers exposed me to a wide spectrum of leadership styles, and they taught me a simple truth: every leader is a lesson. You either take away qualities worth emulating or examples you’re determined not to repeat. That principle drives how I lead and how I grow.” 

In her free time, Wyatt enjoys reading, working out, Chipotle, and spending time with friends. 

After graduation and commissioning, Wyatt will be attending Engineering BOLC and plans to attend many more Army schools.

“Leadership, to me, is the responsibility to set the example, take care of people, and create an environment where others can succeed. Growing up in a military family showed me that every leader teaches you something—either qualities worth emulating or behaviors you never want to repeat. I chose to lead because I want to be the kind of person who motivates through actions, earns trust, and helps others grow into their best selves.”

Fun and random facts: Wyatt has never been to a concert, but she loves jumping out of airplanes ✈️
