"A Whole New LGA": The The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is building an $8 billion, entirely new 21st-century airport while maintaining full operations for over 30 million passengers each year. This will be the first new U.S. airport in 25 years. A new parking garage and the first new gates in Terminal B have already opened, and Delta's first new gates in Terminal C will open by the end of 2019. The new airport will be anchored by two new arrivals and departures halls. The Terminal B arrivals and departures halls will open in 2020, while Delta's new arrivals and departures halls in Terminal C will open in 2021.
