Claim your truth and your story and know that it’s not for anyone else to judge, criticize, guilt or attempt to control. 

If you are an ally, try to put yourself aside if a loved one chooses to share this truth with you. They have likely been holding and hiding this part of themself for an incredibly long time and it’s important to respect their process. Often times, lgbtq+ people are just trying to find a moment where they feel like there is enough spaciousness, ease, intimacy and safety to share this truth. Cutting them some slack and showing up from a place of love, compassion and understanding can go such a long way 💜
