Why I used to not like “Coming Out Day” 😳

When I was in the process of exploring my identity, Coming Out Day made me feel so anxious. It felt like there was this pressure to speak up about my identity. 

Every year another Coming Out Day would pass, and I was left feeling like once again, I had missed my “golden opportunity.” 

While it felt super invalidating, I was creating this own illusion in my mind. I mean…how could I not?

If any of you are feeling similarly, I see you.

Regardless of where you are at in your journey, you are valid and beyond courageous.

Whether you are in the process of coming out or never plan on coming out, I am celebrating you big time.

The the truth is, I would have never come out had I not had an incredible support system and tools to help me love myself in the process.
