…so why aren’t you doing it?⁣ 🤔⁣⁣

We spend so much of our lives aiming to please everyone around us….working tirelessly to blend into this society…yet the more we aim to please and and blend in, the more unhappy we feel inside. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I know this because I spent the first 22 years of my life trying to do everything in my power to fit in so that I would be loved and accepted. Yet I found that the more I tried to “belong” and the more I tried to be liked, the less I felt like I belonged in my own skin and honestly, the less I liked myself. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
For me, the coming out process was long and confusing. If it were a different world, I would have come out and been confident about my sexuality almost a decade prior to when I actually came out for the first time. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I lived most of my teenage years trying to impress everyone around me…so much so, that I was never actually myself. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I hated that I ~maybe~ wasn’t straight. I hated that I was scared. I hated that I was in a toxic, abusive relationship. I hated that I was ALLOWING someone else to have complete control over my entire life. I hated who I was…and I hated that I was living the biggest f**king lie. ⁣⁣⁣

With a shiz ton of work, I finally learned how to love myself. Through this process, I had to become really f**king aware of everything in my life…and I realized that I was the only one who was putting myself through all of this pain. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The day I finally decided to come out, was the day that I decided that I loved myself too much to continue hurting myself. Life was too precious and too short to continue living for everyone but myself. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The day I chose to truly love myself and live authentically, was the day I said YES to life….and I invite you to do the same.⁣ 🌈⁣⁣

What lights you up? WHO lights you up? …and why are you continuing to deny yourself this happiness?⁣⁣⁣

You are worthy of so much more. It’s time for you to say yes to life, which first means saying yes to YOURSELF. ♥️⁣
