Wow. If I look back to my younger self just 4 years ago I never would have dreamed that I would be posting during pride—but here I am, sharing my story and embracing this magical part of myself. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pride month, international coming out day, and all of the holidays that celebrate the LGBTQI+ community used to be something I would entirely detach from. This detachment was was a result of my internalized fear around being gay and is something I so badly wish I could go back and tell my younger self not to be so afraid of. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This part of my identity that I used to struggle with so deeply, truly has become a ray of my light. I wouldn’t wish for things to be any other way. I love that I can finally except this beautiful part of myself and finally celebrate the gift of being gay.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This year, pride month has a totally new meaning for me. I can finally unapologetically be proud of who I am out in the open. I can finally shine light on what it means to be LGBTQ and be proud of who you are, while hopefully helping others get to this beautiful and serene place as well. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you’re currently curious, questioning, in the closet or scared, know that I see you and I love you. While it doesn’t feel like it right now, know that you have a gift that has the power to unlock so much change and healing around the world. I dream that one day you will be able to celebrate this gift just as I am able to today.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
