In this segment for #ForFreedomsNews, ericgottesman interviews artist dukerileystudio as he tattoos a drawing of a rat with its tail caught inside an oyster shell. While cleaning up in the Rockaways in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Riley discovered a newspaper article from the 1890s with an illustration of a "Rat Caught by Oyster." On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, Riley auctioned off a tattoo of this drawing to the highest bidder with funds going toward hurricane relief.
