Kevin Nash said on the Kliq This podcast that someone has to turn heel during the Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk match at WrestleMania 42 for the match to work, even if it happens in the opening moments.

"People say all the time, there's no such thing as a heel or a babyface anymore. Well, let me tell you right now, somebody's got to get heat on somebody, and it's got to be more than the other guy. So somebody's got to get heat. I call that the heel. Somebody's got to make the comeback. That's the babyface."

Nash acknowledged both men are essentially tweeners right now. He pointed to Reigns' promo about being a full-time father as an example of how hard it is to boo him. "You can't have a graphic that says Roman Reigns has headlined 11 WrestleManias and I should dislike this guy for what reason?"

Nash said the turn does not need to happen before the event. "It could be night of. If Punk takes a shortcut, or if Roman takes a shortcut to get the advantage, then that's it. I just don't think the back-and-forth Japan style, shake hands between arm tosses, works."

He referenced Rock vs. Hogan at WrestleMania 18, where Rock immediately played heel when the crowd made it clear they wanted Hogan.

Nash also said Reigns should close the show. "You don't put a graphic out that says Roman Reigns has been the main event of 11 WrestleManias and not have him close the show. That doesn't make sense."
