Kevin Zegers’s role in #TheMadison seems kismet. But neither he nor creator Taylor Sheridan thought he was right to play cowboy Cade Harris, at least at first.

But when he was standing next to Michelle Pfeiffer in the fields of Montana’s Madison River Valley, it finally hit him. The role—a helpful stranger who guides Pfeiffer’s character through grief—was a perfect fit. “It’s not a secret,” Zegers admits now, “but yeah, that’s just most of my life.”
