Moving to San Francisco 2 weeks ago feels like one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Following my curiosity in this unfamiliar and mythical place has inspired and motivated me like never before.

This weekend during techweeka16z, I had dinner at balboacafesf with friends from NY who happened to be in town.

What started as dinner with jamessomani, the_varunrana, austinmillz and others turned into an intimate gathering in Pacific Heights with great electronic music.

The room filled with ycombinator founders, young fortune500 executives, community builders, and content creators.

A toast was made to new friends and new beginnings. These last few days in San Francisco have embodied exactly that spirit.

Since arriving, I have visited the headquarters of linkedin and visa, heard from women VCs at emersoncollective  and 500.global, and connected with impressive founders and builders at various tech week events.

But yesterday was different.

I had a meeting in Japantown with leading women in AI from foundherhouse. These stanford and ucberkeleyofficial students are already shaping the future of artificial intelligence. The ambition of miki.safro, fatimahs.guide , and chloeakiko left me genuinely excited.

We discussed the hackathon I’m hosting and how it’s time for young women builders to stop waiting for permission and start building the systems we want to see.

The move is off to a phenomenal start.

San Francisco, you’re already changing everything.
