STORY TIME: Fitness changed my life…

I used to lack so much confidence, I tried every crash diet under the sun and I still hated how I looked and felt in my body. 

Then I started pole! I was so scared to go to a class alone so I dragged my sister along with me and instantly fell in love with this stunning discipline 😍 

I’d never been able to stick to any of the fitness regimes I’d tried before, but pole was different… I found so much joy in movement & I felt such a rush when I achieved a new trick that it kept me motivated to keep striving to get better and in turn my confidence grew!

I quickly realised that becoming stronger and more flexible would help me progress with pole fitness, so I started training in the gym and attending yoga & Pilates. 

This process helped me shift from yo-yo dieting to adopting an active lifestyle. I inadvertently chose to pour time and energy into the things that nourished not only my body but also my mind & soul… it lit me up! 

I found a community of women along the way who are also into self-development and embody an active lifestyle… we lift each other up! 

Confidence is built by keeping the promises we set ourselves, it’s pushing our comfort zones to try something new… it’s doing the workouts even when we don’t feel like it. 

I’m grateful to the shy unconfident girl I once was for sticking with it! I never thought in a million years I’d have the confidence to solo travel, or even where a sports bra in the gym but anything is possible when you just keep facing the small challenges that bridge the gap between who you currently are and the most confident version of yourself!
