Bali round up 🩵🌴

Aside from having the most incredible time on my first (& definitely not last) solo trip, I learnt sooo much over the past 2 weeks including:

🩵 Trauma doesn’t just heal with time, it heals when your nervous system is regulated & you create a sense of safety in your mind & body… the body really does keep score 👌🏻

🩵 You don’t have to be “nice” to everyone, when you’re on your own you sometimes need to be firm in some situations… I feel like my people pleasing ways died a bit on this trip 👌🏻

🩵 Nothing makes me feel more alive than being on the back of a scooter with the wind in my hair looking up at the stars 😍😂… it’s definitely a main character moment. 

🩵 I realised that I have more fun on my own, than I’ve had in any of my relationships… so going forward I need to find someone who matches my sense of adventure. 

🩵 Healing isn’t linear & it looks different for everyone. ❤️‍🩹

🩵 I can’t really explain this properly but my retreat huomnhealing affirmed to me that we are all connected & that everything is perfectly created. I just feel a sense of wholeness as a result of this. Like I’m complete just as I am. 

🩵 Our breath & the way we breathe massively impacts our emotional state, & there are so many breathing techniques to promote different outcomes but the basics are … fast & shallow = anxiety & stress, slow & deep = relaxed & calm. 

🩵 The people you meet & conversations you have when travelling are much deeper than with the people you meet at home. This is a really interesting way to gain new perspectives & direction.
