3 lessons I’m learning through heartbreak:

1. You don’t always realize how heavy it was until you finally let go. 
When you’re in it, you’re just trying to survive. You downplay the hurt, ignore the red flags, and hold on out of hope. But the moment you walk away, you start to feel how much it was actually weighing you down. That’s when the truth hits.

2. Choosing yourself isn’t selfish, it’s survival. 
After giving so much of yourself, putting you first can feel wrong. But it’s necessary. Choosing yourself means honoring your peace, your growth, your boundaries. It means finally realizing you deserve the same love and energy you’ve poured into someone else.

3. The pain feels endless, but time is a gentle healer. 
Heartbreak has a way of making you think it will always hurt like this. But slowly, without you even noticing, the pain softens. The memories lose their sting. One day you wake up and realize—you’re starting to feel like yourself again.
